Linda Walker Horbal
Opening Doors Fairfield County
Linda has lived in Connecticut since 2004, when she and her husband—who was born and raised in the Nutmeg State—moved here from Houston, Texas. While she remains a Texan at heart, Linda feels that those whom she has met and, especially, worked with have shown her nothing but warm hospitality coupled with a lot of good natured kidding.
Prior to joining CCEH, Linda served for 8+ years as a Performance Development Consultant for MidState Medical Center, an acute-care hospital in Meriden, Connecticut, where she coordinated leadership and management training and development. In addition, she worked with continuous quality improvement teams to help them improve their results. After completing a successful 20 year career in Corporate Communications, Linda has worked for the last 15 years in Human Resources/Organizational Training and Development. Some of her experience, which includes 20 years in non-profit management, has included working for Lord of the Streets, a homeless ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, and for Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Throughout her career Linda’s greatest desire has been to help all those she serves achieve their greatest potential. Linda is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She received her M.A. in Counseling from the Houston Graduate School of Theology.
